Fittings & Alterations
Appointments should be booked as soon as the dress/garment has arrived or been collected from the shop. Brides will need 2 to 3 fittings, the first fitting approximately 8/10 weeks prior to the wedding at the latest, other clients will need 1 to 2 fittings.
Guests
Ideally it’s best to come on your own for the first two fittings, my fitting room is small and I prefer to just focus on the bride in getting your beautiful dress fitted perfectly without any distractions of others in the room. You’re welcome to bring one person to the final fitting, I’ll show them how to help you into your dress and attach your bustle.
Also my fitting room I am afraid is not suitable for children.
First Fitting - Bride
Fittings will take place at my fitting room or your home.
It is important to be on time or early, lateness may result in not being seen due to a tight appointment schedule.
You'll need your wedding dress, shoes and accessories, the appointment lasts around 1 hour.
Your dress will be pined to fit and options given, afterward a verbal agreement is given by the bride.
I will advise you of the estimated cost but the estimate is subject to change.
Once the alterations are complete I will message to arrange the second fit. Second fittings are not arranged until the dress is ready. The invoice will be sent as a PDF on whatsApps, payment will be due before or at the collection of the dress.
Second Fitting
Alterations may be complete by the second fitting, however the dress might require further work. I will check that everything fits perfectly, any further alterations if required will be made and a third fitting arranged once the dress is ready.
Collection/Final Fitting
Your dress will be steamed and thoroughly inspected in preparation for collection. I will asks you to thoroughly check your gown and make sure you're happy with the fit and the work that's been carried out, payment will be required after inspection of the gown and only when you're satisfied with all the changes made.
Appointment Cancellation
At least 24 hrs notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments.
